WOYWW 368 Postcrossing Meeting Toowoomba

A desk of a different kind. Last weekend we had a Postcrossing Meeting here in Queensland, Toowoomba to be exact, that is 2 hours inland drive from Brisbane city....and yes I made the drive myself. I was scared to be stuck in the predicted storms that devastated areas around Queensland and NSW but luckily I missed it. So all those are postcards we were signing for each other to swap with other postcrossers

Robert and Russell Turner, Greg and wife Lewis, Vanessa Crouch and yours truly. We met at the Shamrock Hotel and had a wonderful meal and share lots of postcrossing stories.

No Desk to show because I have secret projects on it so can't show you while that is happening, due to THIS in case you missed the post. But I do have Anniversary ATCs to show that I have swapped with other deskers.

This beautiful material sewn ATCs are from Annie Wipso and Jo, I just love the poem she wrote

 Nikki also enclosed this gorgeous handmade card with a thank you note inside. I must get more creative for next year. She kindly enclosed this vintage postcard as well for my collection

 Next ATC came from Lisca Meijer, she says this is the first one she has made and its not up to standard, I think its wonderful dont you?

 Lisca also added a postcard of Sevilla, thank you so much. And below is her gorgeous envelope, I love the stamp to the left..ONLY DULL PEOPLE SEND DULL ENVELOPES

hahahaha well i am in that category sometimes when I dont have time to decorate my envelopes and this year was one of it.

p.s. I still cant find the first ATC I received from someone....I will find it when I tidy up the other desks, it cant be far.

Exciting news - Couture Creations Design Team - WOYWW 365...T Tuesday

I have some super exciting news to share. Some of you may remember this audition post. Well I have been humbled and very excited to say the least when I was invited to be one of the Design Team Members for Couture Creations for 2016-2017.

What an awesome 7th anniversary it was last week. My ATCs are winging their way to those who wanted them.

 I didnt use many of those flowers you saw on my desk last week, I think they just look nice as a decoration hahahaha, am in the process of tidying up ready for my Design Team Term. Setting up for photography and space to create..I think I will need about 4 desks LOL

 This turned into a dump desk so now all that has to go and become my go to desk for supplies

Last week I wasn't feeling too good as it is now officially winter here..1st day of winter today....went over to my aunts house and she had this wonderful Asian soup to share. It has medicinal herbs in it as well as turnips yumm, mushrooms and pork trotters. OMG I felt so much better after consuming it. I promptly went out and bought the ingredients to make more. These bags of natural herbs get boiled in the soup to give you the nourishment and cleansing etc to rid ones body of toxins etc.
Ingredients: Yam, glehnia root, milkvetch root, angelica, goji berries, honey date, snow fungus, fig, sea coconut, apricot kernel, rehmannia rhizome, paeonia lctiflora root, rhizome chuanxiong
