T for Tuesday

I was taking a photo of my latest tea craze to show my sister the size of the bottle compared to my tea cup. It's called Masala Tea as you can see, it has a fragrance of cloves, cinnamon and other spices that is used to make curry but it does not taste like curry as my brother thought LOL.

  1. Oh that sounds really nice! Our favorite tea is spiced tea called Chai (from India). It is probably a similar thing. We buy it in tea bags but I have the spices and can make it myself if i need a large quantity. It is traditionally made strong and taken with milk.

  2. I have masala spice which I've been using when making Indian cuisine so that tea sounds very interesting to me. Thanks for sharing and happy T day!

  4. I've never heard of masala spice, but I have the spices, so I might try what Lisca suggested. It certainly sounds wonderful. I did an internet search and found a great recipe for it using coriander, cumin, peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Of course, the cup goes perfectly with the masala, too. I really like that color.

Thanks for sharing your masala spice tea and your lovely mug with us for T this Tuesday.

  5. Your tea looks very interesting, I have never seen it here. But as a coffee drinker, I must confess to rarely looking at the shelves where tea is sold....Have a great week, and a happy T day, hugs, Valerie

  9. That looks great, Bridget, and I love the cup too. We can get spiced tea here in the UK, usually around Christmas time, flavoured with the same sort of spices. It's delicious, and as you say, not a bit like curry!

  11. We enjoy chai so Masala tea would please me I think. I do like the spiced tea we order when we eat at an Indian place.

  13. the tea sounds lovely....but I think the star of the post is the header you've got on your blog right now....made me smile! I love old buildings too. In the U.S. we tend to have a lot of old one-room-schoolhouses dotted around the country side that are no longer in use, but because they were usually brick buildings, they have survived many years. I love old barns too! thanks for sharing tea with us...happy T day!
